$150 a month for internet? Absolutely. I’ve lived in this house for 15 years paying between $50 and $200 for satellite, multiple cell hotspots, and dsl. I have begged the cable company to come into our neighborhood to no avail. In all this time not once have I had reliable internet for more than a few day’s at a time. Until now. I got nomad about three months ago. My wife is currently teaching on line 8 hours a day. My daughter is going to school in line and I am working for home. Is perfect and blazing fast no. Is it reliable? Yes. We all work everyday with no problems and stream a movie or two at night. I Couldn’t be more pleased with results.

They refunded my money after canceling within a couple days. I don't think it's they're fault but it somehow caused a fraud alert at Bank of America. Unclear what the problem is. Just re-enrolled September 19th, waiting for sim card.

UPDATE#2: 🌞🌞🌞On Saturday morning 9/19/20 I contacted manager Emily because of the slow speed our tv and computer were getting when our phones were getting 72mbps. She contacted me personally to apologize for all of the problems we have had. She explained they had gotten a new contract which gave us a new system and they were still hearing about glitches that needed to be worked out. She understood my frustration with everything. She did point out that there would never be retaliation for any type of review or complaint because that would not benefit them in any way. She talked with me for about an hour to work out a solution. She is sending one of the old type cards to try to see which will work better for our needs. We can try it for 30 days free of charge and let them know which we like better. She also addressed the problem that our friend was having with his new system. She took his name and contacted him to give him the same option. I am very glad that Emily took her time to personally fix this problem. I also appreciate the fact that she was understanding when it came to my frustration with the situation. I am glad I held off on filing a complaint with the BBB. Emily went above and beyond for our satisfaction. I am incredibly grateful to her for that.I am NOT filing a complaint with the BBB!This has turned out as I had hoped it would...awesome!😁😁😁UPDATE: I will be filing a complaint with the BBB after finally receiving the second replacement router yesterday 9/18/20. Our speed went from 32 mbps with the original router to 3mbps today with the second replacement router. We started with this service a few months ago. The speed was amazing. We were getting 32mbps. 9 days ago it stopped working. We got an email that said you were sending a new SIM card with no solution on how to fix the problem until then. I contacted support by email. Manager Emily replied by cancelling our subscription. I threatened to complain to the BBB. She assured me she would restore our service ASAP. She sent a new router which did not work. I contacted her. Emily sent another router and personally called my husband(so turns out they CAN use the phone during the COVID pandemic after all.) She emailed me to try to fix the one she sent first. I tried her solution but it wouldn't let me log into the router because I DONT HAVE WIFI!! The second router arrived yesterday. The speed for my home devices has gone from 32mbps with the original router to 3mbps!!!!!!!! Everything is buffering. This is why we cancelled with Hughes net and we were paying $30 less on our monthly bill with them. So now I will complain to the BBB because this feels like bait and switch with a touch of retaliation.This is the best service we have come across in our rural area. We have used it for several months now. It has been incredibly fast and reliable until last Thursday 9/10/2020. The service went out and we received an email that said they were sending a new sim card. I tried to contact nomad by phone. They said they could not answer phone because of COVID!!?!?!!!??!! They can email and chat but not answer the phone to address customer service??!!??! I finally got an email response that told me the tracking number for the new sim card, no solution on how to get service until the card arrived.

Compared to what you pay for satellite internet, not only is nomad cheaper, they’re also more reliable. Versus getting (if your lucky) 1 Mbit with satellite, you’ll get anywhere between 10-30 mbits with a WISP.Nomad delivered a service to rural people that major internet providers fail to provide. Internet is becoming more of a necessity than it is a commodity, and there’s a huge segment of the population who do not have access to high speed internet.After pleading with my local ISP’s - I was told that the cost of running wire to rural areas just doesn’t justify the amount of money they’ll bring in from providing service. Fortunately nomad was able to provide where traditional ISPs wouldn’t. You could pay 150 a month for terrible service from Hughes Net, or you could get Nomad for almost half the price, with unlimited data, and over 10 times the speed.Don’t waste your time and money with satellite. You’ll sorely regret it.Emily was able to help me get setup and answered all of my questions. I went with the T-Mobile and I’m able to stream and play online video games on my PC. I am very happy with this investment.

We are full time RVers. We volunteer in some rather remote areas. We are currently way out in the woods in northern Virginia. Signed up with Nomad so we could have reliable internet. The first router had some problems and they replaced it. Really good support! They had me try a couple of things. That didn’t work so they sent a new router. Wow! We now have internet, WiFi calling and my wife even does Zoom meetings! Thanks Nomad!

I am updating a previous review that had addressed issues with customer service and cancelation policies. Emily from Nomad made a valuable effort in responding to my concerns and also shedding light on the package delay in delivery to their facility. I do respect a company that can be transparent about with their customer base and have integrity. For people confused about the cancellation policy, I would like to emphasize that you do have to return all devices upon cancelation to close out your account. This was the issue i had when i posted my orignal review but due to COVID19 and shipping delays, there were complications that seemed to be unavoidable from both side of the equation. Anyone looking for an option for internet in rural locations may benefit from trying Nomad and seeing if it is the right fit for you. Though the service did not work for me in my location, does not mean that the product is not a viable choice for many people. Thank you Nomad (and Emily) for being responsive to my concerns and addressing them professionally.

Living in rural norcal doesn't leave many internet options. Thankfully I found Nomad and now get very fast speeds and a reliable connection. It's not cheap, but for fast and reliable internet it's totally worth it for me. The fact that it's portable is an added bonus since I can have high speed internet when I travel. I was previously paying $55/month for 3Mbps down and 1Mbps up through a WISP and rarely got those speeds. On top of that, the service went down in the rain, snow and wind.With Nomad I get 20-80Mbps down and 5-10Mbps up with the blue plan and nighthawk router.

First heard about this company on YouTube. Did a setup similar at home as the user had on YouTube and got the sim card option as I had similar internet before and had my own equipment. Its a bit pricey but the speeds are good, and we have had no down time like I have had with other companies. We have been happy ever since, and will continue to pay a higher price for a better service any day.

We recently purchased a home in a remote area of Arkansas with no internet service. Working remotely is a requirement of my job and without internet I would not be able to do my job. Thank goodness for Nomad Internet Service...they promptly sent my equipment and when I was unable to make it work appropriately, Emily from Nomad was on the job! She assured me that they would send me an updated router that she felt confident would work, and it did! Immediately able to get on the internet and she walked me through the entire process. She has become a lifeline to me and so professional! This IS the BEST customer service I have ever received from any technology company! Go with Nomad! It is awesome!

We are full time RV and started out with Verizon Prepaid Unlimited (which is no longer available). Speeds have always been terrible. We got Nomad Internet Big Blue Plan as soon as we heard about it. We have been absolutely thrilled with the speeds. Even in locations with less than stellar reception, we're still able to stream videos without interruption. We can even play MMOFPS in nearly all locations that we've been to. We'll be adding a Yagi antenna for those really out-of-the-way places. Service started out good but as Corvid grew it has cause what I consider lengthy delays in customer service. I’m on deadlines so anytime I loose service it’s rather costly to me. Jaden Garza has been communicating with me on a solution so we shall see and hopefully they will iron out any issues.
